Cover Story

Our cover this month shows London's premier funk fiends, THE LOOSE CANNONS, who have just released their second single 'I Like It When Ya', following on from their massive critical success last year with 'Superstars'. Their eagerly awaited debut album 'MAKE THE FACE' is out on 12th July. THE LOOSE CANNONS are both a DJ-ing duo, aka Kaiser Saucy & Lord Fader (with the spiky hair), and a full 8-piece band. If you missed them at Glastonbury you can catch them on their own radio show on KISS FM on Tuesdays 2-4am.

Letter from the Editor

It’s true that by the time I’ve checked out the editorial on the rest of the mag I’m usually totally exhausted, and this month is no different. In fact I’m having a few days in the country, which is where I’m writing this brief copy. But please check out the rest of the magazine because every page is full of great news and gossip.

My recommendation for holiday reading is – not a new book – Feminine Force by GEORGETTE MOSBACHER, a remarkable American socialite – come business woman, who tells the really interesting story of her life from rags to riches – and gives lots of advice to women. It’s very Ivana Trump kind of quirky in style but a fun read just the same. Available on www.amazon.co.uk where they have a wonderful selection of second hand books as well as new.

I’ve christened JULY my 'POSITIVE MONTH'. Having looked around and seen the rage that has been going on, everything from road and social rage to football rage, it’s time to band together our positive thoughts and start believing that Britain, in spite of losing at football, and gawd, that’s not the worst thing that could happen, is as it always was – a GREAT and wonderful country! Darn it, the whole world wants to live here – or so it seems! So please join me in making July a positive and prosperous and healing month for all of us.

With that thought I shall leave you to enjoy reading this month’s fabulous Hot Gossip.

Regards
