I have just returned from sunny BARBADOS, still one of the liveliest of 'The Banana Islands'! Jezza and I stayed with our pal EASTENDERS actress JOAN HOOLEY and her latest delightful hubby TONY YEATS at the luxurious 101 star CRANE HOTEL which sports 'one of the world's ten best beaches'. It was certainly stunning, as were all the Barbadian hot spots we visited such as SANDY LANE, THE CLIFF, DAPHNE'S, the Fish Market on Fridays and shopping in Bridgetown.
The temperature was soaring and God forbid I should get a hint of a real tan ............ so I was thrilled that my fab MYSTIC TAN, level 3, from ROBBIE WILLIAMS' fave TANNING SHOP in Kensington (020 7938 1932) lasted me for the whole holiday. The MYSTIC TAN is quite the best and quickest (1 minute) spray tan I have ever had – dunno what I would do without my regular bronze fix at THE TANNING SHOP.
My PARTY OF THE MONTH for August was celebrity beauty guru JANET GINNINGS' fab PIMM'S PARTY at the elegant CHESTERFIELD HOTEL in Mayfair, kindly sponsored by the hotel in aid of YOUNG MUMS AND THEIR CHILDREN. The event was brilliantly organised by the dynamic JANET and PASTOR REX from the Charity and celebs attending included HARRY POTTER actor RALPH INESON, 'ALLO 'ALLO's JEFFREY HOLLAND and JUDY BUXTON and the new MISS ENGLAND, RACHEL CHRISTIE.

It was such a good evening that halfway through I had to reach for my fab new CILIARY BLUE glasses to calm down my eyes before conducting the raffle and auction. My TREATMENT OF THE MONTH for September is BLOSSOM AND JASMINE's luxurious and relaxing MOBILE PEDICURE (Beauty Therapy to your doorstep), performed by lovely B AND J boss, GINTARE 'in the comfort of your own home'. Foot care is really important – we all walk on the poor things all the time, some of us with more weight than others! Plus you need to keep your tootsie nails looking as gorg and colourful as your finger nails at all times – you never know when you may get lucky and have to reveal them! And it's really annoying when you stuff your newly pedi'd feet back into your shoes and smudge the polish. So a MOBILE PEDI is the answer – and much cheaper and less stressful than having to travel to a salon.
My daughter and I enjoyed the full BLOSSOM AND JASMINE experience with GINTARE who is quite delightful and really fast and efficient. She has 20 therapists nation wide in the UK, all trained to do mani.s, pedi.s, massage, waxing and hair and make-up = absolutely brill – why has no-one thought of this before? My PRODUCTS OF THE MONTH, as trialled by my faithful HG guinea pigs and moi, are as follows:
CLARINS are always leaders in their field and their latest lippies and eye shadows in stunning autumn colours are to die for. The CLARINS JOLI ROUGE Long Wearing Moisturising Lipstick is self explanatory – the colour lasts for ages but the moisturiser stops you getting the horrid dried up, peeling look of most 'stay fast' lippies, leaving the lips luscious not prune like! My fave JOLI ROUGE colours for the new season are Gold Plum and Pink Earth.
The CLARINS Long Lasting Single Eye Colours are also excellent – they brush on like silk and last all night if they have to..................
All their autumn eye shadow colours are soft and subtle but I particularly favour the smoky and sparkly Mystery Grey which suits all eye colours.
On the eye pencil front, MINERS' new PHAT Chubby Eye Pencils are excellent – and so cheap. Being fat, they are ideal not just for outlining but also for filling in the whole eye socket – and they do NOT go streaky in the creases which is most unusual. Best PHAT colours for autumn are Queen Bee (brown gold) and Gold Digger (light gold) and their Snob (violet) is fab for evening.
It's always exciting to find a completely new and exciting product and CHERISH's STEAM CREAM is a really practical little find. It's a moisturiser which works equally well on the face, body and hands, feels very luxurious and smells divine. It comes in an attractive but sturdy 75 ml pot which is ideal for handbags and hand luggage on aircraft. This one little pot is really all you need for your whole skin area and will last a week as you don't have to use much.

My PRESSIE OF THE MONTH for September is a Pink Sun Jar, aka Solar Powered Lamp which is literally a jar which sits in the sunlight all day and charges up its battery, then glows away like mad at night with a sultry rosy hue – very cosy and romantic, not to mention eco friendly. Get going with this quickly as we poor Brits have been promised an Indian Summer with lots of sunlight (oh, haha!) Actually my Jar seems to be constantly charged up so I think our Great British Summer is not as bad as everyone thinks this year.

I have to say, the celebs' fave London hotel, THE DORCHESTER (020 7629 8000) just gets better and better. The food and events there are quite superb, thanks to dynamic Banqueting Manager GARETH BUSH and now I am thrilled to report that the stunning SPA just got even more stunning after a multi million pound make-over.
THE DORCHESTER SPA has always been a tranquil oasis of luxury and calm in the busy West End but now it is paler, prettier and more luxurious than ever. I recently had a wonderfully relaxing yet stimulating aromatherapy massage with the delightful LENA, who has perfect hands – firm but gentle – and I felt as if I was walking on air afterwards. The SPA must now be one of the best in the world.
Plus the talented ROYSTON BLYTHE, celeb crimper extraordinaire has just opened a hair salon within the Spa. ROYSTON's clients include ladies with sensational heads of hair (obviously thanks to him!) such as KATIE PRICE and RACHEL HUNTER - full report and review of the new salon for you next month, boys and girls.
THE DORCHESTER is always chock full of gorgeous celebs and when I emerged from the Spa I spotted that brilliant mind games man, DERREN BROWN. As I was feeling so relaxed I didn't pounce on him for a photo but here's one I prepared earlier, of DERREN with his amazing portrait of HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN, from his latest exhibition.

Thank you for all your continuing emails about MICHAEL JACKSON. It's still hard to believe that the world has lost THE KING OF POP as the dreadful case rumbles on. But it's great to hear his magical, uplifting music everywhere – on the radio, on teevee, in shops, in the streets. Who could ever forget that extraordinary voice?
