 Hello High-Yellows I'm Chriss Lyon from St. Joseph, Michigan. I'm still single, no kids but hopefully that will change someday.
My career is that of a 911 Supervisor in a busy Communications Center dispatching Police, Fire, EMS, Specialty Teams as well as conducting training, evaluations and keeping informed on the latest FEMA and Homeland Security requirements. My job is rewarding, fast-paced with lots of life and death decisions that have to made on a regular basis. I work best in crisis mode.
But my life really consists of what I get the most enjoyment out of and that is researching historical topics, writing and genealogy. I have literally gone from researching my own family tree in the last 10 years to researching for a few nationally known authors on various biographies or true-crime stories. During this time I have also expanded my love of Great Lakes Maritime History and started researching shipwrecks and the people who have been aboard them. This has led to plane crashes in Lake Michigan, also which I feel very passionate about after having read hundreds of newspaper accounts of various crashes in the lakes. Through all of my projects I have connected with others and found new projects to work on so many doors have opened making it very easy for me to know I am on the right path. I feel that everyone has a true purpose in this world, a valuable skill or talent that they can share with others and when they are following their true purpose and using the skills and talents the way they are supposed to be used, then all the doors in the world will open up, just like they have for me. I truly feel that I have found my calling in life.
I hope to motivate others to stick with what inspires them and what makes them feel good to the core. It's not about money, it's about how you feel doing something good for another human being.

 My name is Ron, made in Holland. Last 6 years I worked for a multinational telecom giant. Task was at international level to drive cost out of HW Products, either during development or manufacturing, so I was Product Cost Manager (Eng.).
Built great relationships with mostly US and German people yet also worked with a few very nice folks from the UK and Ireland. Before 2002 I managed also costs, yet as team leader or before that one in a growing job position as engineer, plus did CAD supervision and engineering work when I started my career.

Today is Independence day In India--61st year.Wishing all High Yellows a happy Independence Day.
I am an ex banker after working 12 years in India's fifth largest bank and in 1985 went in to Financial Consultancy specially in project monitoring and funding. Apart from this I am also engaged in teaching MBA students in Finance and Statistics at Sikkim Manipal University

I also represent Business Analyst Group a leading market research organisation doing field studies and impact studies for foreign organisations based in Japan, Australia, South Africa who are contemplating forays in the Indian Financial Sector and Industry.
Since 1993 to repay my debt to society I opened a school for under privileged children who are the future generation of my country. I firmly believe that an educated child is India's greatest treasure. My school started with 4 children is now 260 plus strong and it is my dream to make it up to class X , the basic standard required in India. In this school we provide free education to 55 children including breakfast and train their mothers in literacy also as part of adult education program. I look forward suggestions and help from High Yellow members as there is no end to learning and age is a number and not a factor.
I am privileged to have my wife along with me in this venture who is an ex teacher and clinical counselor after having completing a course in Mount Alvernia Hospital in Singapore.
My daughter and son in law are both teachers teaching Physics and Maths / English in Kolkta's reputed convent schools at the higher levels. My son is a student of English Hones.

 Hi - my name is Claire and I live in the UK.
Well, at the moment! I am hoping to be moving to northern California very soon though if US Immigration ever look at my paperwork!! I am getting married to my 'childhood sweetheart' after a 30 year separation (yikes!) and am moving myself and my two wonderful kids to the States to live (bit scary leaving my fantastic family and close and supportive network of friends and let's not even mention my two cats .... ).
Anyway, I have worked in a number of industries, from banking (bit boring for me) to design and advertising (great fun til the bubble burst) to environmental charities (very inspirational) to manufacturing (...er...). I have had my own corporate entertainment company (spy treasure hunts - really good fun) and now am in the process of starting up another company manufacturing an environmentally friendly product. However, friends say I should be on the stage as I make them laugh, but that is just way too frightening a prospect for me (even though I am High Yellow and Wealth Dynamics Star LOL) but I am mulling over the possibility of radio ... hmmm, we'll see!!
I am really liking Ecademy, although I haven't been able to give it the time it deserves so far. Everyone is so friendly.

Hi Folks,
I can see I am in good company here! With already recognising a few Ecademy/ networking friends (hi Ron, hi Christophe - and also, Garth: I'm sure we have met somewhere..?)...) and some of you talking about magicians, star signs like Aries and doing things non-stop/being full-on - we are speaking the same language :o)
Actually, the mystical world is a big deal to me and so is an interest in health. As well as walking my own "path" in these areas, I work in them, using a unique blend of psychic tools, mentoring/ coaching etc - hard to describe in a way as I am not a typical psychic in the way people often imagine - and have spent most of my freelance life working on empowering other people and being fascinated by them!
Anyway, I'm delighted to be here and meet you all. I also have to admit that I was wavering on a couple of the questions; came out high yellow with my first go at the quiz but felt the need to try it twice more, with different answers on two questions I was wavering on!! That's how obsessive it can get, lol. Btw, changing one Q, I was still high yellow - changing two put me into high blue. I imagine that, if this psychology is anything like Astrology or Jung's Types system, or the Clairs (whether clairvoyant, clairaudient etc) or, indeed, the everyday emphasis on whether one is more Visual, Auditory etc as the dominant mode, there is an inner hierarchy with these things and we are multi-dimensional?

 HY to everyone!
Fancy that, our initials create our own greeting!!! I am Toni, glad to be a high yellow and unlike many of you, not living life at light speed yet but feeling the frustration and keen need to speed up in some ways and spread out in others.
I'm a gregarious, fun-loving, creative, music sensing, picture painting, poem writing, life loving ball of energy that has for one reason or another been stalled for a while. Now my cells are leaking out of my body trying to find the stimulus I need to bring me contentment and it's a very strange and wonderful feeling that makes little more sense to me than it must to you reading it - but I'd be interested to hear your comments all the same..
I work in project controls at present during the day which is rather funny as it's all about money and numbers and figures and I'm really not yet - the irony of that makes me smile. But I do excel in the less financially based elements of the discipline and seem to be able to motivate rocks to sign changes off, a skill which others marvel at, so at least I'm putting my High Yellow energy to good use there.
Right, I'm off to carry on my latest painting which I will photograph and add to my Flicker page which is linked to on my profile. I had an idea about maybe being an artist on web cam - I have a slight issue with art historians who try and encourage people to get into the mind of the artist and guess what they were thinking at the point of creation of various pieces. I think it's fascinating to wonder what inspired such masterpieces but really, that was a moment that probably happened before the painting was started - as for what is in the mind of the artist at the point of actually putting brush to paper - well now that could be anything, 'oooh I must remember to phone Jill,' or 'oh no, we've run out of sugar' and it amuses me to think that all these intellects are trying to ascribe all sorts of thoughts and process to the minds of people who were as perfectly ordinary as you an I, but with an amazing eye for composition after a moment's inspiration that we may never be able to get in touch with as the fascination mostly seems to develop after the artist's death. What a shame, what a waste, what a travesty that the admiration for the work was never heard by the artist themselves.
OK so I'm no Van Gogh, but I believe I would become better at what I do if I could have the pleasure of interaction with others while I am doing it. I've mentioned the idea to my husband and he immediately started planning camera layouts in the room where I work which was sweet of him. So much of life is watched by so many people - I just wonder if this might be something that would spark interest too. Please feel free to get in touch and let me know what you think of that idea, or just get in touch and 'yellow me up!' as I feel the uncertainties I am going through are probably best understood and probably best worked through with other HYs. You know what it's like, you have an idea and then it becomes like a collision in the Large Hadron Collider - will it result in a black hole or the creation of a small universe? That is the question...
Anyway, I'm off to paint and hope to come back to some serious encouragement and critique. And if there is any way that an off-the-wall loony like me can be of any assistance to any of you please please get in touch and let me know, it would make my day to be able to help.

Sorry - a bit late with my introduction.
Andrew here - and pleased to be a Blue (though I reckon we can all be a bit multicoloured from time to time).
I have a simple mantra: Life's not supposed to be hard - so I like to spend my time encouraging people to do the stuff they enjoy, which nearly always means stuff they're good at, but that they haven't quite figured out how to make it pay. Hence Opportunity Matrix - tests all the things you could be doing against two dimensions: attractiveness and viability. In other words, "How much do I want to do this?" and "Will I make any money at it?"
What I really love is when someone goes from hating what they do for a living, to eagerly heading off to work because that's what's going to pay to develop their passion project - they haven't changed what they're doing yet, but they found a new reason to do it - not just "I have to 'cos it pays the bills" - that makes it worthwhile.

 I'm Jeni Hooper and I've just discovered this club, which is a revelation. I'm a parent coach and child psychologist and I have been working for myself for the past 2 years after 20 plus years in local authorities. I'm still getting my head around what being High Blue might tell me. Guess I'll need to buy the book James! But I gather I'm a people person, and not a big risk taker. I'll hold up my hands to both of those. Not sure about the dislike of change, as an idealist I've always been keen to change the world and see things come right especially for children. But maybe on a personal level I'm not too attracted to novelty for its own sake. I've had the same car for 5 years and when it wears out I may get another though perhaps in a different colour. One of the biggest games at present is trying to keep ahead of the Internet nasties, with your help we can do more to not only keep ahead but also to stamp it out.
I live, work and tutor here in Cluj, Romania, for quite a while now. My decision to move out here is mostly connected to my lifetime work for a better world.
Among my numerous qualifications to-date are a doctoral degree in Psychology and another in Forensic Psychology, the latter is my specialty.
Finding weak links - 'People' , 'Associations' , 'Behaviour patterns' - Or - 'Glitches' , 'Flaws' etc. Justifies my 'Motto' - Worse than a dog with a bone!'
Like most Brits, I am a well-traveled person. Like most "Crazy Brits", I am in constant search for opportunities to help people who want to bring change into their lives. It is not an easy task and I use all the learning and knowledge I've gathered as a persistent observer of human nature and behaviour. I am engaged to Dr. Cristina Felea, University teacher and EU registered translator; we are both very happy to nurture and raise our 20-year son Mihai who has Down's syndrome.

Its of no surprise to me that the High Greens have a lower and less vocal membership than the High Yellows - who are our opposite type.
We are all probably sitting there reflecting on why we joined the club and what we can contribute. Besides, no one has asked us our views yet so how can we say anything!
Well, what we can do is celebrate and explore just what its like to be reserved, contained, outwardly calm, logical, analytical, good at process and detail and the benefits we bring to the world. They are the plus points for me - what's your view?
How about the downside of being High Green? Whats your view on that and how does it impact on your life? What types do you struggle to connect with?
So, there are a few questions to reflect upon and then share your views.
Knowing my fellow High Greens - I wont expect an immediate response.

Looking at your other post, "Dominance (Red), Influence (Yellow), Steadiness (Blue), Conscientious (Green)"
I think of them as Bossy (Red), Noisy (Yellow), Sensible (Blue), Quiet/Organised (Green).
Actually, I am surprised I am a High Green, I did the test a second time and came out a High Blue so I'm confused! The types I struggle with are the Red dominant types who are like Shapers in another team test I did. They drive me up the wall and I find myself digging my heels in.
