Hello! Here's a round up of some of last month's Food and Wine events:
JULIAN WHITE WINE AGENCIES and PHILIPPE BRUGNON CHAMPAGNES held a wonderful Champagne Tasting Party at The Millennium Gloucester Hotel in their Grand Conservatory.
Like all Julian's events, it was a happy, friendly social get - together with lots of sniffing, swirling and tasting of Vintage Champagnes. You smile, chat and exchange ideas and compare tasting notes with charming gentlemen and pretty ladies.

A CHARITY TEA AUCTION was held at Harrods in their beautiful Georgian Restaurant and Bar. It was in aid of "Action Against Hunger", a charity devoted to saving the lives of malnourished children and families all over the world. The owner of JING TEA, Edward Eisler, very generously donated some of his rarest, finest teas which raised hundreds of pounds in the Auction.
A lot of restaurants are involved in this charity. Between the 21st and 24th of June, 'TASTE OF LONDON' are hosting a Food and Drink Event in Regents Park, which will include Signature Dishes from some of the UK's Top Chefs.

I was invited to a very glamorous event at this hotel where they launched a newly created STAR (not me) for the Cannes Film Festival. It was the COINTREAU MARTINE - alluringly pink with delicious fresh cool aromas, it went down a dream with everyone.
The Hotel is splendid and offers wonderful scenic views from its terraces. Every Thursday evening from 7:30 onwards they have a BBQ on their Saloon Deck, sometimes accompanied by a Big Splash firework display that takes place over the harbour. I'll tell you more next month.
DECANTER MAGAZINE held a tasting of NEW WORLD FINE WINE ENCOUNTERS at THE LANDMARK HOTEL.
THE 2007 DECANTER WORLD WINE AWARDS PRESENTATION DINNER on Tuesday 4th September should also be very interesting as DECANTER is a top magazine dedicated to fine wining.
