 Well, I am going to start off with whinge corner first, so please forgive me!
I want to warn you my readers and any of your friends, family etc about e-bay.
Recently I tried to purchase a brand new laptop off e-bay recently; I found it strange that I was asked to send cash through Western Union, but hey not everyone is dishonest! So I went to a Western Union agent and paid the £42 fee, then I had an e-mail form the seller telling me to change the name to someone else!
Western Union said that it appeared to be a fraud, so they cancelled the transaction.
I reported the matter to e-bay, who said that they would look into it! However I am still waiting to hear what they have done, despite my numerous e-mails to them!!
I was with a Producer the other day, who told me he lost £1200 the same way, and e-bay was not a bit interested! So beware, as e-bay does not seem interested in protecting people, as they say they do. I will be contacting WHICH, but before I do I would like to hear from your guys, so that I can give them a number of stories, I may even approach WATCHDOG with it.

BMG/JIVE
As most people in the business are too well aware, it is in the worst state that it has been in since it began! So it must be sending shivers down the spines of anyone working in a record company, when they hear that BMG have got rid of most of the staff of JIVE, which has artistes such NSYNC, Britney Spears etc
At least Clive Calder made a few quid out of the sale to BMG!
ELBOW
ELBOW will record their new charity single at this year’s GLASTONBURY - and they're giving you the chance to sing backing vocals on it.
'Grace Under Pressure' will be the last single to be taken from second album 'Cast of Thousands'. Part of the original version was recorded at Glastonbury 2002. Singer Guy Garvey asked the crowd to sing the line 'We still believe in love, so f**k you', which was recorded and used on the album track.
For the single version, the song will be recorded live and released for charity on July 5, just days after it is recorded. ELBOW will be on the PYRAMID STAGE Friday 25th June, so be there and go down in history!
