Welcome to the latest round up of news and views on UFOs, alien abductions, crop circles, ghosts, the paranormal, the unexplained, the weird and the wonderful.
Crop Circles 2009
The crop circle season continues, with increasing numbers of formations being reported as the crops mature. Whether you believe they are made by aliens, earth energies or a dedicated and very human bunch of 'circlemakers', the formations continue to delight and intrigue. Whether the explanation proves to be paranormal or mundane, the designs are amazing. Check out www.temporarytemples.co.uk/ and www.cropcircleconnector.com for news on the latest formations. And whether you're a believer or a sceptic, do try to visit a crop circle this year. It's one of those things everyone should try to do once in their lives. You'll have fun and you'll probably meet some interesting people. Try going to the Silent Circle Cafe or The Barge Inn beforehand, as these are the two main meeting points for crop circle enthusiasts, who will gladly direct you to the nearest or most interesting formations. Check out www.silentcircle.co.uk and www.the-barge-inn.com for details.
Pat Delgado 1918 - 2009
Sad news from the world of crop circles, with the death on 23rd May of Pat Delgado, one of the original group of people to investigate crop circles and bring the phenomenon to the attention of the media and the public. Along with Colin Andrews, Busty Taylor, Don Tuersley and Dr Terence Meaden, Pat was intrigued by the mystery and worked tirelessly to try to solve it. This group of people eventually went their different ways and others followed their work, but Pat was there from the start and shares the credit for bringing the phenomenon to the attention of the world. He co-wrote (with Colin Andrews) the international bestseller Circular Evidence. For more details and a tribute, check out the this dedication www.colinandrews.net on Colin Andrews' website.
Galileo Mystery - Rendlesham Forest
On 5th June the popular German TV series Galileo Mystery featured an hour long investigation into the Rendlesham Forest incident, Britain's most famous UFO case. Galileo Mystery covers a wide range of mysteries and paranormal subjects and with regard to UFOs, previous episodes have covered Roswell and the Cosford incident. I took part in the programme and flew to Berlin for the filming earlier this year. Check out www.prosieben.de for more details. It may be worth checking YouTube or Google video to see if the episode has been posted up.
Dr Edgar Mitchell
Sixth man on the moon Dr Edgar Mitchell is someone whose outspoken views on UFOs have been very much in the news recently. Not only does this internationally respected figure believe that some UFOs are extraterrestrial in origin, he's certain that elements in the US government know all about this and have been covering it up ever since the so-called Roswell incident, when many believe the US military recovered a crashed UFO. Dr Mitchell has recently been featured discussing his views on UFOs on news channels such as CNN and is playing a major role in ensuring that the subject gets increasing mainstream media coverage.

Roswell UFO Festival
From 2nd - 5th July the city of Roswell, New Mexico, hosts a series of events to commemorate the day when, in 1947, something mysterious crashed near the town. Whether you think it was an alien spacecraft or a weather balloon, Roswell is something that most people have heard of, even if they're not involved in ufology. This year's events include no fewer than 3 separate conferences, together with a parade and a concert by the Jefferson Starship. I'll be speaking at the MUFON conference along with Jessee Marcel Jr (son of the US Army intelligence officer who recovered the wreckage), abductee Travis Walton, author Peter Robbins and numerous other UFO researchers. Check out www.roswellufofestival.com for details of the festival and www.roswellufofestival.com/festivalspeakers.htm for the MUFON conference.
European Exopolitics Summit 2009
On 25th and 26th July I'll be speaking at a major European UFO conference being held in the beautiful city of Barcelona. I'll be updating attendees on the MoD's ongoing programme to release its entire archive of UFO files. Other speakers include Dr Steven Greer, Stephen Bassett, Paola Harris, Alfred Webre, Michael Salla and Robert Dean. Check out www.exopoliticseurope.com for further details.
Race To Witch Mountain
Early August sees the Blu-ray, DVD and movie download release of one of the best sci-fi movies in recent years, the Walt Disney blockbuster Escape to Witch Mountain. It tells the story of two alien children whose UFO has crashed. They go on the run from sinister government agents, enlisting help from a cab driver and a UFO researcher, as well as using some of their special powers to outwit their pursuers. There are various in-jokes in the movie, including the fact that one of the bad guys is an FBI agent called Pope. Check out disneydvd.disney.go.com/race-to-witch-mountain.html for more details. As ever, there are lots of extras available on these new format releases.
Science: Impossible
I still don't have a definitive broadcast date for the new History Channel (US) series Science: Impossible, but it's listed as Summer 2009, so keep an eye out for it. The six part series will look at various fringe science and exotic technologies. If you're interested in subjects such as robotics, nanotechnology, mind control, invisibility and weather warfare, this will be well worth checking out. I contributed to several episodes in my capacity as a defence analyst, commenting on the history and potential military applications of some of these concepts, as well as the moral issues raised.Biography:
