Potential Unlimited

I am thrilled to announce that my new and exciting endorsement, FANNIANN Exclusive Womenswear (www.fanniann.co.uk/ 0870 874 78 77)  got well and truly launched last month with a fab party at the stunning VERTIGO CLUB at Number One Leicester Square, owned by dynamic entrepreneur GUSTAF GROF.
FANNIANN Designer JANE HENDERSON, Creative Assistant  MICHELLE BYRNE  and I, their Face, co-hosted the glam event to showcase the beautiful FANNIANN Black Cherry Cocktail Collection -  sophisticated and eminently wearable day to evening wear dresses and separates in stunning silky fabrics - and to preview their fun Cherry Soda Cruise Collection - young and lively cotton dresses, separates and playsuits in FANNIANN'S exclusive 'cherry' fabric.
The joint was jumping! We quaffed PERRIER-JOUET champagne by the gallon and ate delicious food by FARM COLLECTIVE, an absolutely brill new food company run by the delightful DOM and BEN (020 7729 27 57). The event was covered by the EXPRESS and OK! MAGAZINE and various gorgeous celebs and socialites attended, included 'ALLO 'ALLO favourite VICKI MICHELLE, CHANNEL FIVE's LIZ FULLER, classical violinist CHING, THE QUEEN's hairdresser IAN CARMICHAEL, former EASTENDER JOAN HOOLEY and Russian starlet LANA HOLLOWAY. But a picture tells a thousand words and here are a few..................

You need nice smooth skin to show off cocktail frox, of course, so I will now answer all your queries about my 2007 Treatment of the Year, permanent laser hair removal, dear readers. Yes, it does really work and the best clinics to visit for treatment are DR PATRICK BOWLER's COURT HOUSE CLINICS (020 7486 85 35 for the flagship West End clinic.) I actually tried this revolutionary new treatment myself and found that my underarm fuzz stopped growing completely after 5 treatments, my bikini area took 7 sessions and, at the time of writing, my toughest area, my leg hair is down to mere bum fluff after 9 sessions – watch this space, guys – I am going to be a complete smoothie!

DR BOWLER, one of the stars of TEN YEARS YOUNGER, has just launched his fascinating new website,www.cosmestore.co.uk
where you can find out all about laser hair removal and other COURT HOUSE CLINIC treatments and buy products from their great ranges, VITAGE and PRIORI , online.

PRIORI, btw, has a brill new product out called CoffeeBerry Natureceuticals Tightening Serum that actually contains real coffee berries. Well, coffee is a stimulant so no doubt that is the natural ingredient that perks (excuse the pun!) up the skin too. Anyway our trialler (the gels don't like being called 'guinea pigs' any more!) SYLVIA said "the Serum feels tight and firm as soon as you apply it. I put it on every morning under make-up and my skin feels and looks radiant all day. Really good."

Now here is a round up of some other great products to make you feel good throughout the summer:

Still on the skincare front, CLARINS MEN's new After Shave Energiser and After Shave Soother are ideal for men who have slightly sensitive skin. I dragged my hubby, kicking and screaming, to the bathroom to try these products and even he admitted that they soothed his nappy  - sorry, shaving! - rash instantly. Poor guys, having to shave their faces every day, whilst we ladies can get our fuzz permanently removed all over with laser hair removal – sometimes life ain't fair!

DHC are an exciting new Japanese skin care company with some excellent products made from virgin olive oil. My ladies particularly liked the Mild Soap that you can safely use on your face and DHC do a fab travel pack in a pretty toiletries bag.

RAW GAIA is another great new company who bring out some really unusual products. Their new Massage Oil for Women smells divine and is extremely soothing, helping with PMT, menstrual pain, menopausal symptoms, etc. I tried this one on new mum NADIA and she said it soothed her sore 'chest' and seemed to alleviate her fluid retention. Great stuff.

Talking of 'chests', Dead Men's or otherwise, FLORAME, France's leading independent producer of organic aromatherapy, have brought out a wonderful new Shimmering Organic Bust Oil which tones and firms the bust and decollete. We all pounced on this at the office and it feels fab and yes, it really does make your bust shimmer – ideal for July nights in FANNIANN cocktail frox!

By July in this country, you will probably have had to get the fake tan out to look good whilst exposing more flesh. Don't forget to exfoliate well before applying it. It's a good idea to exfoliate regularly anyway for really fresh, glowing skin. The best exfoliant I have found in my trawls around the beauty counters and sites is the beauteous NORMANDIE KEITH's excellent Sugar Exfoliator. This one contains glycerin, cocoa butter, mandarins and lemons so it smells divine as well as making your skin feel really glowy after the sugar crystals do their stuff.
Another great NORMANDIE product is her Bare Faced Cheek Facial Wipes which are great for quickly deep cleansing the skin and safely removing all traces of make-up.

Still on skincare, which is the basis of our pre-make-up palette and pre- dressing up, is it not, girls ?...................................

TAER ICELANDIC's new Eye Contour Cream is wonderfully nourishing for the delicate eye areas and helped our trialler, HANNA, with her under eye shadows, whilst the company's Nourishing Hand and Nail Cream made her hands and cuticles super smooth, she said, waving them under our noses!

MOA's Green Balm is really good for dry skin patches, as on elbows and helped our trialler NINA'S psoriasis after just one month's use.

If you have a tendency towards spots and blemishes, try WITCH STICK,  with witch hazel. It smells absolutely gorgeous and you can dab it on your 'pimps' several times a day to dry up the disfiguring little beasts super quickly and efficiently. Our work experience teenagers loved this product.

Back on the hairy - sorry! - problem of anti fuzzing, if you need a quickie to help you out on hols, try JML's Beauty Wand, a pencil sized shaver which is ideal for facial hair, armpits and the bikini area. This splendid little gadget is ideal if you want a pain free quick fix, don't like waxing and haven't had time for permanent laser hair removal.

and BOOTS.

Thank you for your enquiries re the fab new PAULA DORF COSMETICS, originally available from BERGDORF GOODMAN and stocked in the UK at:
www.skinbrands.co.uk/ 020 8997 8541
(not at Superdrug as dumbo moi first thought!)
PAULA DORF's amazing make-up brushes, colours and foundations are loved by JENNIFER ANNISTON, KIRSTEN DUNST, CATE BLANCHETT, SJP, SALMA HAYEK and MISCHA BARTON – which sounds like a good excuse for a snap of the lovely MISCHA.

Mineral make-up is all the rage nowadays but has previously been very expensive. That's now all changed with the advent of NYC's fab new Smooth Minerals range where each product costs under £4. My beauty bunnies and I particularly liked their Smooth Mineral Loose Face Powder, Smooth Mineral Loose Blush Powder (Almost Apricot is gorg) and Smooth Mineral Loose Eye Powder Kit (Black Onyx is dead sexy), all with an SPF of 12 which is useful for summer wear.

NYC also do a fab Maximum Boost mascara and some really long lasting Nail Glossies (243, a metallic blue is sensational.)
All available from SUPERDRUG.

Doncha just lurve RUBY AND MILLIE? Their latest Complete Eye Kit, which is beautifully packaged and makes a fab presy, is just the right size. The kit comprises colours for both eyes and brows, some neat brushes and - wait for it! -  brow wax -– just the job if, like me, you have wild brows.

My BOOK OF THE MONTH for July is the amazing PETER JAMES' absolutely stunning new 'DETECTIVE ROY GRACE' thriller, DEAD MAN'S FOOTSTEPS (MACMILLAN, £16.99), the fourth in PETER'S 'GRACE' series. PETER just gets better and better and is now arguably the UK's number one police thriller writer. I am DEAD proud (geddit?) because PETER is one of my oldest – sorry, most long time! – pals and his books are just brilliant. DEAD MAN'S FOOTSTEPS starts with 9/11 and is dedicated to the victims and families of the tragedy. The fiendishly plotted story line takes the breathless reader from that horrible tragedy back to GRACE's home town of Brighton, via Australia and ends, after many twists and turns, with a real BODY HEAT moment. Unputdownable! I predict many more awards for the already multi award winning PETER. I was lucky enough to catch up with him at his WATERSTONES, Notting Hill, signing, full of all sorts of posh celebs including the lovely ANGELA RIPPON, where he kindly signed a book for my daughter, a big fan.

Btw one of my previous Books of the Month, the thrilling SUMMER NIGHT, WINTER MOON by the very talented JANE HUXLEY (DELANCEY PRESS) is now about to be made into a major feature film – watch this space. The book's now out in paperback and makes a great summer/beach read.

Gorgeous and pouting young fashion designer CHARLES SVINGHOLM, close friend of MADONNA and RUPERT EVERETT amongst other luminaries, has been busy showing his delightful Summer Collection of floaty and feminine dresses and stunning beachwear.
Firstly lovely TV presenter and entrepreneuse extraordinaire CHELSEY BAKER hosted a show for him for FASHION TV at new club ORCHID, attended by everyone from 'ALLO 'ALLO's VICKI M ICHELLE to THE SALON's RICARDO.
Then it was off to BROCKLEBANK TOWERS in Surrey for a fun poolside show, hosted by the gorg and dynamic DR ANNA, LADY BROCKLEBANK and her suave hubby JOHN MCMILLAN. The event was p.r.d by CHARLOTTE ELLIS and celeb models included lovely CHELSEY again, feisty Royal author LADY COLIN CAMPBELL, teenage beauty JADE and my lucky self.
