The world needs the calmness compassion and stability of High Blues now more than at any time in its history.

High Blues are warm and supportive and dependable. People today are under enormous pressures brought on by the uncertainty of the Global Financial Downturn. Many people need someone to share their fears, worries and concerns and there is no better friend than a High Blue.

The High Blue's ability to get people working together and to gain support of others is vital today. The only way we will be able to solve the problems that we all face is by reaching in, reaching out and reaching together!

High Blue Success Teams ......the Concept

Success teams make task completion fun! Members of a High Blue Success Team help each other to help themselves.

Here's how it works:
1. Join or form a Success Team
2. Teams can be as small as 2 and although no limit ideally 5 members maximum. The team members act as your support system providing encouragement and appreciation for you and whatever it is that you want or need to do.
3. Please note that "It is very important that you like, trust and respect every member of your Success Team ! "
4. The Key is that you feel comfortable sharing information with every member of your team and that you feel that he/she has your best interest at heart.

Once you have identified the Members of your Team.

Step 1. Ask each team member, "How Can I/We Be and or Do Better ?"

Begin by deciding on what to improve on.
Whether it is to improve skills, change behaviour, or better your family life or business. What is it for you? Computer skills? Your typing speed? Your sales skills? Maybe your cooking skills, health and fitness, money management or perhaps playing the piano?

Ask each member this question? What do you need or want to do?

As an example:
"I need to get my companies books finalised "
"I need to clean out the attic"
"I need to make an appointment for medical tests that I have been avoiding"
"I need to better promote my business"
Maybe there is a conversation that you have been avoiding.
Maybe something that you want to do?
Change your career, or further your education?

Step 2. Identify the steps do you need to take to accomplish this task? Teammates help you to clarify what needs to be done, and offer encouragement, help you keep score and focused!

Step 3. This is the most important part. Once you have completed your task Report immediately to your team members that you have done it! Your teammates then help you Celebrate and give you the recognition that you deserve.
and ask the question: "What is the next task that you need, want or have to do?"

Your role as a member of your team is to become genuinely interested in helping the members of your team become better at what he/she is doing. You will of course also be working on the tasks that are important for your own success and happiness!

Here are some of the many comments from High Blue members doing what High Blues best i.e. offering help and support. If you are interested in forming a Success Team with Fellow High Blues just add your name to the High Blue Members Forum.

What a great idea! I have lost a lot of business over the last few months and am finding it hard sometimes to keep positive. Also, because I'm spending less time at work it is all too easy to dwell on the negatives. To have a support network, whereby I can support others, we can swap ideas, provide motivation etc. sounds really worthwhile.

Warm Regards

I think this is a fabulous idea because it kinda forms a coach/mentor/reporting thing (lack of better words to round it off) and for me personally i find that if i have to account for what im doing i work better and faster, also if i say i will do something i always do it and just having a team around me to encourage me or help me or pull me up or push me along is just excellent. How can I support you? what do i have that will benefit where you are going? how can i give of my best in a way that will help you make, take or accomplish or achieve that first step.... i'm ready to work with you because together the journey becomes easier... there is a saying that says it is better if two travel a journey together because if one falls the other is there to pick you up.....

Sounds a good idea to me. I'm always open-minded about new ideas - in fact I'm always coming up with them and my challenge is following through with them because there are so many things to do and demands on time. I read an article today in a freelancing mag about the advantages of using an executive/business coach to help you reach business and/or personal goals - successful sports people always have coaches after all. The article said the going rate for executive coaches is 100 to £150 per hour. Nice work if you can get it I thought and I find I do like interacting and talking with people (didn't realise how much until I went self employed), perhaps slightly out of the stereotype of an engineer.

So it would be an interesting thing to try the success team idea which could include a coaching element, and it ain't going to cost £100 an hour!

Wishing you all success with your goals.

I would definitely like to start a success team. I have generated a mission statement and I need now to work out reasonable goals and to organize myself so I can get the most out of each day. I will help you if you will help me.

Success Team
Hi, you can count me in. Not sure exactly what we will discuss, but I love to hear about other businesses and the challenges they have. I might be looking to others for where they want to go with this - is that a 'high blue' trait?

Success Teams
I certainly agree with everyones comments, this type of networking is at least as valuable as any business connections, it gives people a sounding board to try out ideas in a supportive and positive environment, something most of us rarely have access to these day's. I was fortunate enough to experience some peer coaching recently through my MCs studies and even though both myself and my peer coach were real amateurs, the power of the discussion and the support was one of the best aspects of the unit.

I am certainly very keen to participate.

Success Teams
I run a Web & Graphic Design Agency in India with a lot of work being done for UK, US & Australia. SUCCESS has a common meaning to all irrespective of location or industry....

Emily Dickinson wrote...
Success is counted sweetest
By those who ne'er succeed.
To comprehend a nectar
Requires sorest need.....

I would love to participate in a success team for ones with that need - that will to succeed - just as I would love to have someone partner me in my times of need and my desire to succeed!!

It is forums like this that encourage exchange of ideas - be it Web Strategy for a new online business or an overall brand plan for a totally offline one !!

Would love to know what ails my business and help iron out creases for my peers....Look forward to participation and more....
