During our lives more changes have occurred, more progress has been made that any previous millennium in the development of humankind. It is almost impossible to select the most important idea in recent years. What would you choose? The jet engine, atomic energy, new metals, synthetic fabrics, rockets, satellites, television, plastics, antibiotics, computers, self image psychology, the Internet, mass communications, abstract art, automation, fast food, DNA, digital technology, the list goes on and on.
No one can say for sure, what changes will come in the next five or 10 years, but they will come, and they will be amazing. These changes will start with someone having an idea, on how they can make things better.

As you might possibly be aware, I specialize in human behaviour. This is a subject that I've been interested in ever since sitting in on a presentation in 1975, by Dr. James Nolan, who along with his wife Mary was the founder of the Personalysis Corporation. Dr. Nolan's Great Idea was to develop a computer program using as a foundation the work of Carl Jung, Freud and Maslow through which people could receive a complete overview of his/her personality.
Along with the other participants of this workshop I answered less than 100 questions. Things like what you like to work inside or outside, alone or in a group.
The answers were fed into a computer, in Houston, Texas, and I received back
13 pages of information about myself, how I looked at the world, how I liked to give and to receive information, and how I operated under stress.
This information was very valuable in telling me," Why do I do what I do?"
"Why do I not do the things that I know that I should?" "Why do I do the things that I know that I should not?"
I have introduced the Personalysis, as a management tool to every company that I've ever worked with.

In a recent study, 7 out of 10 people working in the UK find their work a misery. This is due in part, because the leadership, in most corporations has yet to realize that their way of management i.e. control and command "my way or the highway", has gone the way of the dinosaurs. In the old economy, the big ate the small, in today's new economy, the fast eats the slow. In the old economy, the scarce resource was financial.
Today, it's people, their knowledge and their capabilities. Enlightened management recognizes that times have changed, and the importance of leadership. Things like motivating employees to do things because they want to do it, not because they are forced to.
Everything filters from the top, as an example you can't build morale, whatever's at the top, filters down through the ranks. The same would hold true with governments.
As an American living in the UK, I have been a very embarrassed by the leadership in the U. S. since George Bush was elected president.
The impact, as we all know of his decisions has affected the world in a negative way for the past eight years.
The world needs the inspiration and high ideals that Barrack Obama has to offer.
I have great confidence that my fellow Americans will realize this and vote for him.

Someone wrote, the greatest most powerful word, is choice.
Great ideas affect the choices that you make. I had a Great Idea 22 years ago while on a trip to the Algarve in Portugal, to ask my wife marry me.
It felt right to do this and it has proven time and again, to be the Best Idea I ever had.
